Hippies and punks

For this week we need to look at what we think punks and hippies are.

To me a hippie is...
- someone who does a lot of drugs
- protests a lot
- belives in the ideal of peace and love
- practises 'free love'
- existed in the 1960's
- lives in stange camps
- listens to the beatles
- attended Woodstock
- Optimistic attitude.
- loves bright colours
- wears a lot of tie dye

A punk to me is.......
- likes mo-hawks
- belives in anarchy
- likes safety pines
- wears lots of red and black
- girls like hot pink
- like skull and cross bones
- listens to the sex pistols.
- existed in the 1980's
- Hates pop culture
- Hates their parents
- hates.. pretty much everything
- pessimistic attitude.

Fashion and uniform

Dear blog,
Today in class we talked about fashion in uniform. We identified the difference between unofficial and official uniforms. It was interesting to see how there is like an unspoken uniform for different subcultures.
We also looked at different 'uniforms' and discussed if their purpose was to make them belong or hold status. I found that there was a bit of both in all uniforms.

Unofficial and official uniforms that shoe belonging and status.
